I obtained my Ph.D. (see thesis) in 2007 from the Computer Science Department at Iowa State University, under the advise of Dr. Dimitris Margaritis and an M.S. in Physics in 1998 from the Instituto Balseiro, Centro Atómico Bariloche, under the advise of Dr. Germán Mato.

Research

My research interests are in the general area of Machine learning and probabilistic reasoning. Particularly in the learning of the
independence structure of probabilistic models (e.g. Markov and Bayesian networks). To learn more visit the lab's webpage.

Teaching

I am currently teaching the Artificial Intelligence course at the UTN-FRM.
